I have to be honest, I didn’t think I would write another blog post so soon. However, I was hit with inspiration with the news that I now have readers from the United Kingdom! I just had to write something, as those of you who follow my Facebook page probably saw.

When I started this blog, I never thought that I would have anyone from other countries reading my blog. I didn’t even think that anyone besides my family and friends would read it! I began writing some posts, thinking that it would take a long time to reach people that I didn’t know. However, I was wrong…as I often am in my assumptions these days.

I started out with a lot of views from readers in the United States. I was so happy to learn that so many people were reading my blog. Then, I started getting readers from France! I was completely shocked when I saw this. The fact that someone that I didn’t know…someone from a whole other country, was reading my blog made me ecstatic! Then, today, I logged into my blog and saw that I have at least one reader from the United Kingdom! I am absolutely elated and so proud of what I feel is the beginning of a wonderful journey. With how well the blog is doing already, I realize that I am not alone in this adventure…that you are all here to share it with me. Someday, I hope that I can share in all of your journeys.

     Thank you for being awesome!

Hello all! I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to figure out what to write about next but the truth of the matter is, I’ve had no inspiration. After my first semester was over, I was busy getting ready to go back home. When I got home, my main concern was sleep! Now, I’m back to writing and trying to see what I can do before the next semester starts up. However, before I go into what I have been writing, I’d like to go into some progress I’ve made on editing my book “The Factory”.

When I first started editing this book a year or two ago, I thought that I was close to getting it copyrighted and sent out to publishers. However, I wasn’t. I edited it 2 times and then I began work on a new novel, putting “The Factory” aside for about 8 months…almost a year. Then, when I first went to college this last semester, I began to edit it for the third time. When I started, I felt that this would be my last time editing. Again, I was wrong. I haven’t gotten through much of the book as a result to how busy things got with assignments and projects but it didn’t take long to figure out that I would need to read through the book AT LEAST one other time. I want to add depth and feeling into the book but I also want to take out the “love story” aspects of the book. Only one love story actually works but the other two are just messy and chaotic and really don’t make sense to the plot. I will probably find more problems when I get farther into the story. However, this editing might need to wait a while because I have started a new project!

A new project for the new year! This project is quite different from anything I’ve written before because of the fact that I’m writing about some of my adventures and/or embarrassing moments in college. The goal is for me to practice writing about my life while having personality in what I’m writing. As you may or may not have noticed, when I write about myself or events that have happened to me, I manage to write without any feeling. That has been a common issue in my creative works and in my past attempts to write about my life. The problem is, I’ve always been one to distance myself from my feelings because of the chaos that goes along with them. As a result, I wrote about feelings and situations while still distancing myself from those feelings. I imagine that a lot of my past works sound quite robotic and disjointed. However, since my first semester of college, it seems that I am getting better at expressing my feelings. As a result, it’s become easier to put some feeling into my writing. I figured that it was the perfect time to try to write about my experiences. I have no idea how it is going to turn out but I’m hoping that it will be a successful experiment.

I hope that you all are doing well and that your year is going well so far. Another year gone and so much has changed. Here’s to a fantastic 2017!
